– Cystic Fibrosis Canada Fundraiser – Lavender Ginger Radler release this Friday!

If you have been following along, THB has been teasing for some time now a Lavender Ginger Radler as a limited summer release… well the wait is over!

Hatched as a fundraiser for Cystic Fibrosis Canada, this 3.5% alc/vol Radler has a spicy ginger edge with a slight floral/grassy lavender note made with Weir’s Lane Lavender from Dundas that helps keep this summer patio sipper well balanced!

$40 from each keg (only 10 kegs in total were produced!) will be donated to CF Canada and it’s going to be launched Hamilton’s coolest Arcade!  The fine folks at the Ceili House on George St in Hess Village have opened up the Arcade on the 2nd floor of their building & it rocks!  Tons of FREE(!) vintage cabinet, table top, & pinball games available with great cocktails, music, & craft beer! Best of all, they have agreed to donate all of the proceeds from the sale of their two kegs of this Radler to CF Canada as well!

The Radler will also be on tap this weekend at the Hamilton Beer Festival (all proceeds from the sample sales will also be donated!) & several other bars around town…stay tuned for an update on where else to enjoy this great summer sipper while raising some funds for a worthwhile organization like CF Canada!Cystic-Fibrosis-Canada-LOGO

Blue Collar Cans Coming Soon!!

Blue Collar Pale Ale is coming to Bars & Restaurants near you soon!!!

THB is proud to announce that it will be releasing Blue Collar Pale Ale in 473ml cans by the end of July!

This is THB’s first canned offering.  By doing so THB will be able to offer Hamilton’s favorite craft pale ale to many more bars & restaurants that other wise wouldn’t be able to stock it.  No longer will the lack of a draught system or unavailable tap lines hold back Hamilton’s finest establishments from carrying THB’s Blue Collar!

These same cans are making their way through the LCBO‘s submission process right now.  This means that with a shade of luck, Blue Collar will be available for the home consumer sometime in September…actual launch date to be announced.

THB would like to thank Jamie Lawson of Poly Studio for his fine design work, Stephen Moore of H.Moore Printing Services for the beautiful finished labels, & as always the fine brewers and folks at Railway City Brewing Co. for continuing to brew and package Blue Collar for THB!

If you are a Hamilton area Bar or Restaurant that would like to carry these beauties for your clients, please email Warren Pyper at warren.pyper@thehamiltonbrewery.com or call him at 905.962.8294 and let’s talk!

Pop Up: Speakeasy to feature THB!

THB is proud to announce that it has been tapped by Pop Up Hamilton for their upcoming event – Speakeasy!  How fitting that a beer that I orignally homebrewed in my basement in Corktown will be served at a Prohibition Era event!  I’ve had some wispers in my ear that there may be some tickets left for Thursday the 12th…just between you and me though..

The First Sixteen

THB would like to announce it’s sixteenth tap handle!  Radius at the corner of James & Augusta is known to many but for those who have not yet darkened it’s door, it’s a fantastic resto bar in the heart of downtown with a focus on local, an emphasis on quality, and an expectation of greatness.  We are very proud to be pouring Blue Collar on tap with the likes of them.

Sixteen taps and momentum is growing… Thank you so much to the Hamilton beer drinker for getting this venture off to a flying start!  I’ve said it before but it bears saying again, if you weren’t ordering it, the bars wouldn’t either.  I would also like to take this spot to thank the first sixteen locations for the phenomenal support.  Thank you for working with me on modest promotions, digging into your own bottom line and pouring samples for your customers, and for above all… taking the risk on an unknown commodity vs. the tried and true.  Stay tuned for some really cool event & promo announcements in the very near future, all of which are made possible by the fantastic people where our taps are pouring!  Momentum is growing.

The craft beer scene in Hamilton is definitely on a vertical path.  CBC Hamilton recently ran a piece detailing the three main efforts to grow the craft footprint. One big time move by two established entities in the market and two different plucky upstarts looking to supplant their day jobs.  This was followed up by a piece on CHCH the following day…. buy hey CHCH where’s the love for the two plucky upstarts!?!  No worries.  (Sorry couldn’t find a link to the video)

The future is bright.  With every new order or account THB is getting that much closer to opening it’s own brick and mortar brewery in Hamilton.  If you are the investor type and have the vision for what this beauty of a town is becoming please email me at warren.pyper@thehamiltonbrewery.com and lets talk.

Thank you all so much for buying kegs and especially to those who have gotten out and enjoyed a pint or two!
